The REET mains exam is expected to be organized in February 2023. The result for REET 2022 had been released on 29th September 2022. Candidate passing this exam will get directly posted on different levels of state government teachers.

Exam pattern
The REET exam is held at two different levels. Level 1 is a qualifying exam for the primary school teachers from class 1st to 5th. Level 2 is a qualifying exam for the teachers of class 6th to 8th.
REET 2022 exam pattern
The preliminary exam held in 2022 had a different syllabus. There was no negative marking in this REET eligibility test. The REET syllabus 2022 was almost same for both levels, check out REET syllabus below:
Level one consisted of 5 section that are- Child development and Pedagogy, Mathematics, Environmental Studies and two optional languages (Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Urdu, Punjabi, Gujarati, etc)
The REET level 2 syllabus was almost same, one change had been made that was, candidates can choose Science or Social Science instead of environmental studies.
REET mains 2023 exam pattern
Both the papers consist of 150 questions for a total of 150 marks. They duration of this exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes. Negative marking is also there and 1/3 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
REET main exam Syllabus 2023
The level one consists of six sections:
- Geographic, Historical and Cultural knowledge of Rajasthan- This part consists of 90 questions.
- General knowledge of Rajasthan, Educational scenario, Current affairs and Act of Free and compulsory Child Education- consists of 90 questions.
- Educational pedagogy – It consists 20 questions.
- Information technology – Consisting of 10 questions.
- Pedagogy Hindi, Maths, English General science and Social studies – consists of 40 questions that means 8 questions for every subject.
- School subjects, Hindi, Maths, English General science and Social studies – consists of 10 questions each for every subject.
The REET level 2 syllabus also has six sections, but there is a difference in marks split:
- Geographic, Historical and Cultural knowledge of Rajasthan- This part consists of 70 questions.
- General knowledge of Rajasthan, Educational scenario, Current affairs and Act of Free and compulsory Child Education- consists of 60 questions.
- Educational pedagogy – It consists 20 questions.
- Information technology – Consisting of 10 questions.
- Pedagogy consists of 20 questions.
- Knowledge of Concerned School subjects, – consists of 120 questions in total.
Syllabus for Information technology
This part will contain the basic knowledge about computer science that has been taught in school. The exact topics for REET information technology has to be released in the official notification.
Syllabus for Geographical, Historical, Cultural and GK of Rajasthan
- History of freedom struggle in Rajasthan- Peasants and Tribal movements, Prajamandal Movement.
- Integration of Rajasthan
- Ancient culture and civilization of Rajasthan, Barath, Ahar, Ganeshwar and Kalibagan.
- History of Rajasthan from 8th to 18th century- Relations with Delhi sultanate – Mewar, Gurjar Pratihars, Chauhans of Ajmer, Ranthambore and Jalore, Rajasthan and Mughals – Mansingh of Amer, Rai Singh of Bikaner, Raj Singh of Mewar, Sanga, Pratap and Chandrasen.
- Location, literacy, population distribution, dairy development, agriculture, livestock, climate, relief features, drainage, vegetation, extent, growth, sex ratio, religious composition, industries, planning, budgetary trends, major tourist centres.
- Role of women during Medieval and Modern period
- Office of Governor, Role and Functions of Chief minister and Cabinet, State Secretariat and Chief Secretary; Organisation and role of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission and State Human Rights Commission, Panchayati Raj in Rajasthan.
- Society and Religion- Lok Devta and Deviyan, Saints of Rajasthan, Dresses and Ornaments, Folk music and dance, Language and Literature, Architecture- Temples, Forts and Palaces, Paintings- Various Schools, Fairs and festivals, Customs.
