Introduction

The Ministry of Railways oversees RRB, a central government employment agency. RRB, formerly known as the Railway Recruitment Commission, is the full name of the organization. “Junior Engineer” is the abbreviation for “Railway Recruitment Board.” The RRB JE test is administered by the central government to choose applicants for junior engineer positions in the engineering fields of civil, electrical, mechanical, signal & telecommunication, and traffic transportation. A reputable government position with a handsome pay scale that is ideal for engineers is the RRB JE. RRB JE 2022 will be the exam used to select candidates for the positions. The computer-based test (CBT), which will be administered in two stages, will be used to select candidates for the RRB JE position in 2022.

Description

Selection Process

The Railway Recruitment Board will determine the RRB JE Selection Process in 2022 (RRB). Applicants must be informed of every step in the RRB JE 2022 exam selection process. Planning is essential for such competitive exams, and understanding the various selection processes undoubtedly lightens the planning burden. The following four stages make up the RRB JE selection process:

  • Stage 1: First Computer-Based Exam (CBT 1).
  • Stage 2: The Second Computer-Based Examination (CBT 2)
  • Third Stage: The Medical Exam
  • Verification of documents at Stage 4

To be qualified for the ultimate appointment, a candidate must pass each level of the RRB JE 2022 recruiting procedure. The CBT 1 and CBT 2 exams will have different selection criteria from one another. All candidates must have a thorough understanding of every step of the RRB JE selection procedure so that they have no doubts about it.

CBT-1

The CBT 1, or Computer Based Test 1, is the initial phase of the RRB JE selection process. All applicants who complete the RRB Junior Engineer application process are qualified to participate in CBT 1. The RRB JE CBT 1 is a screening round, and no points from it will be included in the final score.

Mathematics, General Intelligence, Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Science make up the first section of the RRB JE CBT. The weight of each section’s marks will vary. The objective type, multiple choice questions in the RRB JE CBT 1 will last for an hour and a half, and 120 minutes for candidates with disabilities. There will be a total of 100 questions. 1 point will be awarded for each correct answer, while 0.25 points will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

CBT-2

Candidates will be eligible to participate in the RRB JE CBT 2 if they meet the cut-off marks for the JE position. The CBT 2, which serves as the second step of the selection process, will cover five subjects in total: technical abilities, general awareness, physics, and chemistry, as well as the fundamentals of computer applications and environmental awareness.

The total number of candidates selected for the second stage based on their performance in the first stage CBT will be 15 times the number of RRB JE vacancies announced by the RRB.

The RRB JE CBT 2 will include 150 questions in total and last for two hours. In the online test for RRB JE’s CBT 2 paper, every incorrect answer you mark will receive a negative marking of one-third. Every query must be unbiased.

Conclusion

Many candidates sign up to take the RRB JE test. Therefore, if the CBT is held over several sessions, the RRB will normalize the candidates’ marks to maintain transparency in the selection of the deserving candidate for the Junior Engineer post. The merit list of candidates will be created using the candidates’ raw marks for a single session and their RRB JE normalized marks for the multi-session paper.
