Rajasthan Board of Secondary education had released 46,500 vacancies for the post of third grade teacher. The REET exam 2022 was successfully held on 23 and 24th of July. There were a total of 219 centers in Jaipur where the examination was held.

Rajasthan eligibility examination for teachers or Rajasthan Teachers eligibility test is conducted by Board of secondary education, Rajasthan. This exam is conducted to recruit teachers in the education department of State for classes 1st to 8th.

Exam pattern

This exam is conducted at two different levels, Level 1 is conducted for the recruitment of teachers for class I to V and level 2 paper is conducted for recruiting teachers for class VI to VIII. The REET syllabus 2022 and eligibility criteria for both the levels are different.

Candidate qualifying for REET gets awarded with a REET eligibility certificate. The validity of this certificate is for three years from the date of issue. Applicants qualifying for REET are placed at different posts of teachers from class 1st to 8th in different Rajasthan state government and private schools.

The REET exam is conducted by Rajasthan board of secondary education to shortlist best suitable candidates for the post of teachers in state government or private schools. This exam is held at two levels the level one exam is for the candidates who want to teach classes 1st to 5th and level 2 is held for those who want to teach classes from 6th to 8th. Total of 3,20,014 students appeared for the level one phase of REET exam 2022 out of which 2,03,609 have passed the exam. Whereas a total of 11,55,904 candidates appeared for level 2 exam out of which 6,03,228 candidates cleared it. Show the passing percentage of level 1 was 63.63% and 52.19% was for level 2.

Controversy in REET exam 2022

The administrative system of REET was alleged for the people leak. The paper of REET 2022 was conducted in multiple ships on 23 and 24 July 2022. The cases of paper leaks and recruitment scams has been rising day by day and that created attention among the candidates.

Interestingly, Rajasthan education minister denied all the allegations. He assured all the candidates that everything was done under supervision. He said, “There was nothing about the paper that got viral before paper, that means no paper was leaked. Now if someone inside quietly takes off some pages and mix them go viral….. The exam was held in a transparent manner.

A strict law had been made by chief minister Ashok Gehlot after the REET exam controversy that, anyone who is responsible for the mishap will be punished with 10 years of jail and a fine of INR 10 crore.
