Candidates qualifying for this exam will be posted on different levels in the state government and other private schools. Approximately, 15 lakh students give this exam every year for different levels. The percentage of students getting qualified for this exam is below 10%. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates who have a degree in B.Ed or D.Ed. .

Two exams are held for getting qualified as a  state government teacher. The preliminary exam of REET was held in 2022 for both the levels and the REET main exam date is released and is to be held in February 2023.

Total of 3,20,014 students appeared for the level one phase of REET exam 2022 out of which 2,03,609 have passed the exam. Whereas a total of 11,55,904 candidates appeared for level 2 exam out of which 6,03,228 candidates cleared it. Show the passing percentage of level 1 was 63.63% and 52.19% was for level 2.

Exam pattern

A total of 150 multiple choice based questions will be asked and each question carries 2 marks. The duration of the exam will be 2 hours and 30 minutes and one third marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Selection process

The candidates who qualify and clear all the exams are posted at different levels in State Government schools. This exam is held to recruit best candidates with the ability to teach in Government schools. This exam is held at 2 levels, level 1 is for teachers of class 1st to 5th and level 2 is for teachers of class 6th to 8th. The candidate has to pass two exams that is preliminary and mains to become government teacher. The candidates who pass exams have to go through interview also.
