All About AFCAT exam

The exam of AFCAT is held twice a year, the AFCAT 1 is held in the month of February and the second exam is held in August/September. This year the vacancies were released in the month of December and the exam of AFCAT is expected to be held in the month of February.

More than 6 lakh candidates appear for this exam and only 10000 candidates are selected for the interview process. Some of the candidates are eliminated in the process of interview and the candidates who passed interview process make it to the Air Force academy.

Exam pattern for AFCAT

The exam of AFCAT is held for two different posts, that is AFCAT and EKT (Technical), the exam pattern for both the posts is different and here is the full exam pattern:-

1.AFCAT

The mode of exam for AFCAT is online. A total of 100 questions are there which carries 300 marks. The duration of this exam is 120 minutes and the paper is divided into different sections like general awareness, numerical ability, reasoning, verbal ability in English and Military aptitude test. One mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

2.EKT (Technical)

This exam will also be held online. A total of 50 questions will be asked which carries 150 marks. The duration of this exam will be for 45 minutes and the paper carries different sections like mechanical, computer science and Electrical & Electronics. 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
