RRB NTPC Exam Recruitment Details

Railway Recruitment Board has officially declared the non-technical popular categories recruitment online examination from December 28 onwards to January 13, 2020.

The RRB NTPC Exam post under non-technical popular categories includes accounts clerk cum typist, timekeeper, trains clerk, goods guard, commercial apprentice, station master, trains clerk, traffic assistant etc. for a number of production and zones units of Indian Railways.

Candidates are requested to regularly check the RRB NTPC exam dates and release of admit card date on the official website of RRB http://www.rrbcdg.gov.in/.

#Eligibility Criteria For RRB NTPC

The candidate needs to be a citizen of India or citizen of Bhutan, Nepal and person who has migrated India from countries such as East African Countries, Burma, Pakistan, Vietnam and Sri Lanka.

A person can also be Tibetan refugee who is migrant in India before 01, January 1962 to settle permanently in India.

The age limit of a candidate should be 18 to 30 years. The minimum education qualification is any graduate or 12th (+2 stage) or any equivalent examination.

#RRB NTPC Selection Process

The process of selection for RRB NTPC recruitment comes with various stages. The stages are here stated below:-

Preliminary Examination(Computer/online Based Exam)

  • Main Examination(Computer/online Based Exam)
  • Typing Test examination(for the post of senior clerk cum typist, senior timekeeper, Junior Accountant assistant)
  • Aptitude test(For assistant station master and post of traffic assistant)
  • Verification via documents
  • Medical Fitness Test
  • Final Selection

#RRB NTPC Exam Pattern

The RRB NTPC examination has been divided into two namely preliminary and main examination as discussed above.

Both preliminary and main examination consists of the same syllabus but has a different pattern of examination.

RRB NTPC exams will include three sections as mathematics, general awareness, and general intelligence and Reasoning.

There will be 100 objective type questions with a duration of 90 minutes and marks and number of questions to each section is presented in the table below:-

The main examination will also be objective type questions to be attempted in a duration of 90 minutes but will have different marking and number of questions.

Note: There will be a negative marking scheme of 1/3rd deduction on every wrong question for both preliminary and main RRB NTPC exam.

#RRB NTPC Syllabus

RRB NTPC examination topics will be based on class 10, 12, and graduation level. The mathematics section of Railway NTPC aims to evaluate the calculative skills of the candidate.
